A special day.

What a lovely day. Our son graduated and can now call himselv social and health care helper.

On Pinterest I saw a new way to mount a card.  I just had to try it. 

I used a flower vasefrom beccysplace. It is a freebie called: Peonies in vase.html

A new card folding

Do you know this feeling: I have to try... knowing I may fail, but I just have to try.
I got that feeling when I saw a card with a special folding. It looked so difficult - yet, I just had to try. When I saw this card, I knew that if I could make it, I wanted to make it for my son-in-laws grandmother.
This is how far I got to night. There's space for 4 small pictures and 2 larger ones. In Denmark we celebrate Christmas the 24th in the evening. I'll take pictures and put them in the card, so she can see pictures from her great grandsons first Christmas.

This is just a sample (my first try), so the front is not decorated.

Kender du denne følelse: jeg nødt til at prøve ... vel vidende, jeg kan fejle, men jeg bare nødt til at prøve.

Jeg fik den følelse, da jeg så et kort med en speciel foldning. Det så så svært ud - men jeg måtte bare prøve. Da jeg så kortet, vidste jeg med det samme, at min svigersøns mormor skulle have dette kort, hvis jeg kunne lave det.

Dette er, hvor langt jeg kom i aften. Der er plads til 4 små billeder og 2 store. Jeg vil tage billeder og sætte dem i kortet, så hun kan se hendes oldebarn's første jul.

Dette er blot en prøve (min første forsøg), så forsiden er ikke dekoreret.

It's been a while!

I know it's been a while. Time is flying by so quickly. Our gandson's now 5 month and 3 weeks.
He's so funny. Best thing - beside the big smile he give you every time you walk into a room, that's he's many faces!!!

A birthday pressent!

Vi were so lucky yesterday, we got to take care of our little grandson. He's so speciel. He's now at that age were he puts everything into his mouth, he follow you wherever you go. He lights up in a big smile when he see you. He's just so cute, oh how we love him.

I got a birthday present last night (my birthday was last Saturday). It was 3 candles, with a battery, with the possibility to sat a timer and color: blue, red, yellow, green and so on.

I love candles. Why? Not only are they cosy, and in Denmark, we LOVE everything cosy, but the candle stands as a symbol for me for Jesus Christ.
If a candle is lit and stands in a corner, it might not fill the room with it's glow, and you might think it's a small light. If you draw closer to it, it gets stronger and stronger. But wait! The light is the same - only YOU drew closer to it! So it is with Jesus Christ. He light up the darkest corner of our life, if only we will draw close to Him. We have to move toward Him, He's always there!



Vi var så heldige at få lov til at passe vores lille barnebarn i går. Han er så speciel. Han er nu i den alder var han putter alt ind i munden, han følge dig også overalt med øjnene. Han lyser op i et stort smil, da han ser dig. Han er bare så sød, åh hvordan vi elsker ham.

Jeg fik en fødselsdagsgave (min fødselsdag var sidste lørdag). Det var 3 stearinlys, med en batteri, med possibily til sad en timer og farve: blå, rød, gul, grøn og så videre.

Jeg elsker stearinlys. Hvorfor? Ikke alene er de hyggelige, og i Danmark, elsker vi alt hyggeligt, men lyset står som et symbol for mig for Jesus Kristus.

Hvis et lys er tændt og står i et hjørne, kan det ikke fylde rummet med dets glød, og du måske synes, det er et lille lys. Hvis du går tættere på det, bliver det stærkere og stærkere. Men vent! Lyset er den samme - kun du drog tættere på det! Så det er med Jesus Kristus. Han kan oplyser det mørket i vort liv, hvis blot vi vil komme til ham. Men, vi er nødt til at bevæge os mod ham - han vil altid være der.
